- Caeleb Dressel (USA): The American star, who won five gold medals at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, is expected to dominate again.
- Katie Ledecky (USA): One of the most decorated swimmers in history, Ledecky will compete in what may be her final Olympic Games.
- Ariarne Titmus (Australia): Known for her thrilling rivalry with American Katie Ledecky, Titmus is a powerhouse in freestyle events.

Why Watch: Basketball at the Olympics features some of the best talent from the NBA and around the world, providing high-octane action and showcasing incredible athleticism. The 2024 Olympics will see a mix of experienced veterans and rising stars battling for the gold. And especially a heavy burden on the U.S. as they have formed a team that rivals the star-power of the 1992 United States men's Olympic basketball team, nicknamed the "Dream Team". So, you definitely want to see if they live up to their expectations or if they will fall to the international teams.
Athletes to Watch:
- Victor Wembanyama (France): The French prodigy and future NBA star is expected to make a significant impact. Standing at 7ft 4in, he's certain to catch lobs, but also show up with his impressive handling.
- Giannis Antetokounmpo (Greece): The Greek Freak brings his MVP-caliber talent to the international stage, making Greece a strong contender.
- LeBron James (USA): The King despite being 39 years old, is going to compete in his 5th Olympic. He still shows no sign of fatigue and is performing just as well from a decade ago. With him being the definitive leader for this US team, his legacy is on the line to see if he can lead this team to a gold medal and possibly his 4th gold medal.
When to Watch:
The basketball tournament starts on July 27 and concludes with the finals on August 10.
3. Track and Field

Why Watch:
Athletics, or track and field, is the heart and soul of the Olympics, featuring a wide range of events that test the limits of human speed, strength, and endurance. From the electrifying sprints to the grueling marathons, every event promises drama and excitement. You definitely have to pay attention to these events, because if you don't sometimes, you'll miss the entire event, the 100m in Men's only last a little over 10 seconds on average.
Athletes to Watch:
- Sydney McLaughlin (USA): The world record holder in the 400m hurdles, McLaughlin is expected to deliver an awe-inspiring performance. She broke that record for the fifth time running in the US Olympic Trials so you might see her 6th in the Olympics and possibly the first sub-50.
- Kishane Thompson (Jamaica): Kishane Thompson has been improving at a rapid rate, locking in multiple times under 10 seconds for the 100m race and with a personal best of 9.77s and has now become favored over the reigning champion Noah Lyles.
- Noah Lyles (USA): Known for his incredible speed and charismatic personality, Lyles is a favorite in the 200m and a potential contender in the 100m. He makes his presence known with his antics before races and elaborate celebrations afterwards. He is bent on taking the world record for the 200m from Usain Bolt so you should see if he meets those expectations.
The Paris 2024 Olympics are set to be a spectacular showcase of sportsmanship and skill. By tuning in to these must-watch sports and keeping an eye on the highlighted athletes, you'll be sure to experience some of the most thrilling moments of the Games. Whether you're a long-time fan or new to the Olympics, there's something for everyone to enjoy. What sports are you going to enjoy watching? just don't forget to mark your calendars and get ready to be inspired by the best in the world. Happy Watching!

My personal favorite to watch is the winter Olympics because I feel like the sports there are a lot more fun to watch but they are both still really enjoyable to watch. Its impressive thinking about everything the athletes have done to get where they are.
